Written Exam: Musical Practice Reflection

This is your final written exam. You will write a reflective essay detailing your musical journey and development over this course.

The exam is written under secure online proctoring conditions with video verification to ensure academic integrity.

🔒 Secure Exam Guidelines

1. Accessing the Workspace: Click "Start Secure Written Exam" in your course dashboard. You will be redirected to the secure workspace at exam.asyncacademy.ca.
2. Reference Notes Sidebar: Once the secure workspace unlocks, your browser will enter locked full-screen mode. Your complete term Practice Logs will automatically load in a read-only Reference Pane on the side of your editor.
3. Writing the Essay: You will write your reflective essay (500–800 words) live in the text editor from scratch.
4. Video Proctoring: You must record a continuous 3/4 side-view video of your workspace using your phone during the session, and upload the link to Google Drive on submission.

Use your logged practice history in the Reference Pane to tell the story of your musical progress throughout this course.

Your reflective essay must address:

• The Story of Your Course: Describe your starting skill level, your initial practice plans, and how your musicianship evolved.
• Salient Points in Your Logs: Identify specific practice sessions, dates, or milestones in your sidebar logs where you realized something critical, hit a technical bottleneck, or made a change that worked (or didn't work).
• Adaptation & Growth: Explain how you adjusted your practice methodology (e.g. slowing down tempos, isolating difficult measures, changing postures), how those changes impacted your final performances, and what these results taught you about mastering an instrument.
