This course is self-directed and includes four units and an exam task (5 Assessment Credits).
Each Activity Unit requires 20 hours of activities in addition to other assignments. Activity Units do not have to be focused on one particular sport/activity. Instead, they should track all of the activity you do in a period of time, and show some combination of strength & conditioning, cardiovascular training, and mobility/recovery work.
Because the course is hours-based, competitive athletes can complete it quite quickly. Here is an example for a hockey player who works out in their home gym on days with no practices/games, walks their dog and stretches every day, and goes snowmobiling with friends on the weekend:

Note that a wide variety of activities are included that represent all of Strength and Conditioning, Cardio, and Mobility/Recovery, including leisure activities that are consistent with the goals of the student's fitness plan.

The course also contains a Health Unit where you will investigate various topics from nutrition, personal safety and human development. This unit requires a handful of short research-based assignments.
